Early April 2020, John was approached by the Chicago Police Department for help in reaching residents at two Lincoln Park Senior Centers. Residents expressed their despair during the quarantine and the police were looking for a way to bring them peace and joy. John knew, that even though he too was in isolation, that sharing his music and words of encouragement was something he could do to help. John reached out to Treblemonsters for help in providing high-quality sound for his performance and connected with their own COVID-19 response project, Bring Out The Creative, that focuses on virtually connecting performers to quarantined audiences. Together with the CPD, they were able to bring safe, outdoor entertainment to the senior center residents.
